Bhaluka, Bangladesh – Ceat parent company RPG Group and Bangladesh Ak Khan have set up a $67-million (€62 million) joint venture for the production of tires in the country, according to a report by local Prothom Alo Bangla.
The report cited Ceat AK Khan managing director Jyotibrata Banerjee as saying that the factory would be located in the central region of Bhaluka, Mymensingh.
The plant will produce light and medium truck tires as well as two-wheeler tires for the local market.
