Subscription service draws on 150,000 formulation records, targets digitalisation of rubber development
Tokyo — Zeon Corp. is preparing to launch a subscription-based data management platform for rubber compounders, as it seeks to expand digital services around its elastomer business.
Outlined in a 10 June update to Zeon's medium-term strategy, the system is being introduced to customers within Zeon's elastomer operations and is scheduled for commercial launch during fiscal 2026.
The platform is designed to address challenges faced by rubber manufacturers, including "dispersed technical information" and "the complexity of improving compounding formulations."
Zeon said the system will support "knowledge transfer, analysis and predictive modelling" through a database containing around 150,000 rubber compounding records and enhanced by artificial intelligence capabilities.
The system is intended to support areas which the group said are often handled through paper records or spreadsheets.
Zeon described the initiative as a new business opportunity built around its long-standing rubber expertise and customer relationships in the elastomer sector.
