Seoul - Hankook Tire and its holding company Hankook Tire Worldwide have launched a management reshuffle with the appointment of a series of new executives effective on 1 Jan 2017.
Announced on 6 Dec, the appointments include the promotion of Soo-Il Lee, chief operating officer (COO) for Hankook Tire’s Chinese operations, to COO marketing division and corporate management division.
Byung-Il Woo, division director of Hankook Tire Global OE division, who managed to expand OE supply to all new BMW 7 series and Porsche, is to take charge, as COO, of Hankook Tire China HQ.
Among other key instalments was the appointment of Sang-Hyun Oh, as VP chief technology officer, R&D planning department.
In Europe, Jae-Seock Ryu has been appointed as vice-president, global OE department, Hankook Tire Europe, while Byoung-Ryong Lee will serve as sales VP for northern central Europe & Commonweal, CIS Hankook Tire Europe.
Heon-Joon Kim will take the position of VP, global OE department, America regional HQ.
The management changes, said the South Korean tire maker, are focused on improving internal infrastructure and the company’s strategy for emerging markets.
