Barberton, Ohio – Preferred Compounding Corp. has purchased Trostel Ltd to expand its growing mixing operation and add product moulding to its capabilities.
Terms of the transaction, which is effective 1 Dec, were not disclosed.
Trostel is comprised of two divisions: a custom rubber compounding business and a specialty rubber goods moulding operation. It has expertise in both compounding and moulding FKM, HNBR and a variety of other high performance elastomers, Preferred said.
Currently headquartered in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, the company operates a compounding plant in Whitewater, Wisconsin; a custom rubber moulded products factory in Reynosa, Mexico; and a metal prep facility in McAllen, Texas.
Trostel has a rubber and compound research and development operation in Lake Geneva where the firm also houses its technical support unit.
“Trostel is a high value added company that shares our commitment to consistent quality, technical excellence and high levels of customer service,” said Ken Bloom, Preferred’s president and CEO. “The acquisition is a perfect fit for us to expand our geographic reach and our ability to comprehensively serve our customers.”
