Yantai, China - Germany’s Volkswagen Group has chosen Linglong Tire as its first local supplier in China, following two days of inspection at the company’s production site, Linglong announced 12 Oct.
The passing of this audit, claimed Linglong, demonstrates the technical and manufacturing quality of tires produced by the company to meet the standards and technical requirements of VW.
Linglong, based in Yantai, Shandong province, reported 2015 sales of around $1,347 million making it the world's 20th largest tire manufacturer, according to ERJ's Global Tire Report 2015.
