Shawbury, UK – Smithers Rapra’s facility in Shawbury, near Shrewsbury, was hit by a fire over the weekend, a spokesman for the polymer research firm has confirmed.
“No one was present and no one was injured; the fire was contained to only a portion of the facility,” a Smithers Rapra spokesman said in a 26 Sept statement to ERJ.
Employees are back working in the unaffected portion of the site, which has been deemed safe by officials, according to the spokesman.
