Hattersheim, Germany – The Japanese speciality chemical company Kuraray has taken over the sales of its elastomer brands in Europe as its agreement with Dusseldorft-based Marubeni Europe plc ended 30 June.
In a move to “realign” its European distribution, Kuraray said its “established” elastomer brands Septon, Hybrar, Kurarity and LIR/LBR were now being sold by its European subsidiary based in Hattersheim, Germany.
The company said that it expected the realignment to bring about “a great opportunity for further growth together with our customers."
According to Jörg Oertel, director elastomer business, Kuraray Europe GmbH, Kuraray performance elastomers have been successful in “complex applications” and that the new reorganisation was to supply “tailored technical support and service”.
Other existing distribution agreements are not affected by the reorganisation.
