Midland, Michgan – Dow Corning has named Andrew Tometich as the business president of Dow Corning's silicones business, effective on “day one” following the completion of Dow Chemical Co.'s takeover, expected on 1 June.
Tometich will have particular focus on a smooth transition and integration period with Dow, said a Dow Corning announcement on 18 May.
He will report to Mauro Gregorio, incoming chief executive officer of Dow Corning.
Tometich has worked with Dow Corning for the past 27 years, where he has served in a number of commercial and executive positions.
Tometich has been in his current role as Dow Corning's senior vice-president of silicones since 2014. Prior to that he served as president and chairman of the Hemlock Semiconductor Group.
Tometich holds a bachelor of science from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
