Kumho appoints ‘Europe expert’ as new CEO
Seoul –Kumho Tire has appointed 61-year-old Han-Seob Lee as its new chief executive officerwith immediate effect, the company announced 2 Feb.
Lee, who in his recent position led global sales as the group’s chief sales officer, will now head up the Korean tire manufacturer‘s global business.
During his early career at Kumho Tire, Lee held various positions within its European operation and, according to Kumho, is regarded as an expert in the European tire market.
His initial role on moving to the area in the late 1980s was as operation manager in the UK. He then became general manager for the Italian market and the company’s Milan office.
Lee also held several positions within the company’s Korean headquarters before returning to Europe in 2005 as president of Kumho Tire Europe.
Han-Seob Lee succeeds Chang-Kyu Kim. No further details was given on why Kim is leaving the company.
