Houston, Texas – A purchasing executive from General Motors will deliver the keynote address at the annual general meeting of the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers, scheduled for 11-14 April in New Orleans.
Wade Sheffer, executive director of General Motors Chassis Purchasing, will speak on “synthetic rubber in the supply chain” during the 13 April session. The 14 April programme will include a presentation on “technology trends in the transportation/tire industry” by Steve Charles, vice president of product development for Bridgestone Americas Inc.

“The institute’s Annual general meeting has established itself as the go-to event for the synthetic Rubber industry,” said IISRP managing director Juan Ramon Salinas. “Gregory Nelson of East West Copolymers, our international president, has let an outstanding effort in organising a high level speakers programme.”
The association’s corporate members are located in 20 countries and account for about 80 percent of the world’s supply of SR.
