Corbas, France – REP is proceeding with a series of development plans on the back of a second successive year of "strong "sales growth, the French injection moulding machine maker has announced.
During the past financial year, REP investments have seen the launch of production units in India (RPE India) and China (URP Machinery) and of new machines especially designed to better match the requirements of customers in emerging markets.
“Efforts will be pursued in 2015 towards these countries, while continuing the development of the G10 range of rubber injection moulding machines which is the focus segment of the REP brand on western markets," said a 17 March company statement.
REP’s sales figures for 2014 showed that its presses are mainly used for producing anti-vibration systems and sealing applications. This sector alone registered a 34-percent increase in sales.
The company also reported increasing demand for two-component presses, including REP’s dual-compound CMS.
The dual-compound CMS machine is an injection press with four rotating stations and two injection units. The design allows for the synchronous curing, stripping, and injection of two compounds in the same mould.
