Guanajuato, Mexico — Automotive sealing manufacturer Standard Profil SA opened its 10th plant in Mexico in December 2014 in a $36-million (€30.5 million) investment.
According to the firm, the plant will have an important role in its globalization strategy.
“We always aim to be closer to our customers, and that’s why we are here, very close to the Automotive Global original equipment manufacturers,” said the Standard Profil CEO Turhan Semizer in a statement.
The firm said it currently supplies many of the North American OEMs and the site will put it in a better competitive position in the region.
