Luton, UK – SFS Manufacturing Group has relocated its head office to a new, larger manufacturing site in response to increasing demand for its products.
The new premises remain in Luton, helping the company to retain its existing staff while creating additional production jobs.
The new factory has 13,000 square feet of manufacturing space, which is double the previous area, and will enable the company to increase both production and efficiency. It offers the potential for increasing the number of product lines and adding more manufacturing cells.
"With the new factory we are already looking for half a dozen more production staff," said SFS director John Soanes. "And there is a good prospect of creating another 20 to 30 jobs later next year."
SFS manufactures silicone rubber components, including silicone hose, silicone sponge and solid extrusions, and fabricated gaskets and seals. Around 60% of its sales are for export.
The purchase of the factory represents a £650,000 (€832,000) investment for the company. It was funded with the help of NatWest Bank, backed by the UK government's Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme.
