Borealis is delivering leading-edge materials for interior and exterior applications in the new generation Citroën C4 Cactus, launched by the PSA Group
The company’s new tiger stripe-free solution Daplen EH227AE for exterior parts will be used in addition to other materials for more than 33 different applications in the new-generation model.
Borealis said its polypropylene (PP) and thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) materials – in particular its Daplen tiger stripe-free grades – enable car makers to achieve higher aesthetic and mechanical performance standards.
The PSA Group and its tier one suppliers required the highest possible quality inmoulded parts, including the elimination of flow marks, also known as tiger stripes.
Daplen EH227AE is being used in rocker panels, whilst additional grades are used in other Citroën C4 Cactus applications, including interior trims, central console and dashboard.
