    ERJ staff report (TP)

Düsseldorf, Germany – Yokohama Europe GmbH, the European head office for the Japanese tire manufacturer, announced the acquisition of the Motorsport Business Unit and related activities conducted by its subsidiary company Yokohama Reifen GmbH.

Well known German traditional motorsports including the “ADAC GT Masters”, “ATS German Formel 3 Cup”, the “VLN – Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring” (Long Endurance Championship Nürburgring) and the “ADAC-Zurich 24hrs Nürburgring race” have in the past years already seen close collaboration and the exchange of technical expertise and material resources between both parties.

The firm said: “As a result of this synergy and with a view to continue strengthening its European Motorsport Tyre development programme, Yokohama Europe GmbH will be able to count with the know-how accumulated also at the highest level of professional Motorsports through its association as exclusive tire supplier of the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and its partnership with the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) among others.”
