Maxxis sponsors Ultra4 Europe series
ERJ staff report (TP)
Suffolk, UK − Maxxis International has announced that it will be the title sponsor for the 2014 Ultra4 Europe off-road 4x4 endurance series.
The tire maker “has moved to establish the partnership and build on the success it has enjoyed at the King of the Valleys 4x4 contests in Wales and the King of Portugal events over the past two years, as well as strengthen the strong following that both the individual events and the recently formed Ultra4 Europe already have.
“Ultra4 Europe works in conjunction with some of the UK and Europe’s top off-road associations, and throughout 2014 it will stage a series of extreme 4x4 endurance events designed to push competitors and their vehicles to their limits.”
The deal follows the “success” of its M8060 Trepador tire at last year’s King of the Valleys contest in Wales, as managing director Derek McMartin said: “The King of the Valleys event gave us a great platform to showcase the outstanding off-road the capabilities of our four by four tires, and it is a great privilege to have been given the opportunity to be the title sponsor of the inaugural Ultra4 Europe series.”
