    ERJ staff report (TP)

Illinois – Reportstack, a distributor of market research reports, released a new publication on the Motorhome Tire Market in Europe 2014-2018, which showed an increased in winter tire usage and that the key players are Michelin, Continental and Pirelli.

Debora White at Reportstack said: “The increase in usage of winter tires due to government regulations in various countries in Europe is driving the Motorhome Tire market in Europe. The use of winter tires is a legal requirement during winter months, particularly from November to mid-April or if snow or slush is present on road surfaces, and failure to comply with the regulations can result in a penalty.

“In recent years, various countries in Europe, such as Italy and Romania, have adopted new legislation and countries such as France and Belgium are discussing the introduction of new legislation, while countries such as Germany and the Czech Republic have strengthened their existing winter tire laws. All European countries require winter tires to be fitted under certain conditions or vehicle owners to use equipment appropriate to the conditions.”

According to the report, the Motorhome Tire market in Europe is driven by several factors, the main driver being the increasing demand for motorhome tires from the UK, Germany, and France. The high share of motorhomes in these countries has a positive impact on the sales of tires, and, thus, on the market in Europe.

Further, the report states that one of the main challenges in this market is the slow growth of the Leisure Vehicles market, which will have a negative impact on the sales of tires, and, consequently, on the market in Europe.

The study was conducted using an objective combination of primary and secondary information including inputs from key participants in the industry. The report contains a comprehensive market and vendor landscape in addition to a SWOT analysis of the key vendors.
