    ERJ staff report (BC)

Manchester, UK – Manchester United soccer club has announced a sponsorship agreement with a second tire manufacturer – this time the Taiwanese Federal Corporation.

During a launch event in Russia, one of Federal’s key markets, the club announced a three-year agreement that will see the company become the UK Premier League champions’ official tire partner in Russia and Taiwan.

The launch took place at the Interauto Show in Moscow, and was led by Federal CEO, Jamie Ma.

Based in Taiwan, Federal was established in 1954 and now turns over more than €238m annually. Specialising in high performance, 4x4/SUV and motorsport tires, Federal has the capacity to produce over 28 000 tires a day from its factories in Taiwan and China.

Manchester United’s group managing director, Richard Arnold, commented: "… The Club has almost 18 million followers in Russia and with a third of Taiwanese football fans following United, we are able to provide Federal with a sizeable audience to engage with.”
