Bridgestone to make conveyor belts in Thailand

Tokyo – Bridgestone NCR Co., Ltd. is to begin production of conveyor belts at its existing plant in Rayong, Thailand, in the first half of 2015, having invested approximately ¥3.0 billion (€23.4 million) in the project.
The company expects strong demand for conveyor belts over the medium to long term, as mineral resource production increases worldwide.
The 154,000 square metre plant employs 1,400, and currently produces automotive hoses and anti-vibration products.
