ContiTech breaks ground on Slovakia AVS expansion
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Hanover, Germany – ContiTech has broken ground on the expansion of its anti-vibration components plant in Dolné Vestenice, Slovakia. The company’s vibration control business unit is enlarging its existing production area by around 4000 m² with the construction of a new production hall.
In conjunction with the groundbreaking ceremony, Heinz-Gerhard Wente, chairman of that executive board at ContiTech, also opened a new research and development centre on the site.
The total investment for the two projects is around €7.5 million, the company said in July news release. Some 13 jobs will be created.
"The expansion allows us to now focus all our production in Slovakia at one plant and create capacity for additional business," commented Karl Armbrecht, technical director at the site.
