Omnova restructures performance chemicals business
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Fairlawn, Ohio – Omnova Solutions has restructured its performance chemicals business in order to take advantage of “its extensive technology and product capabilities… for stronger, more sustainable global growth”.
As part of the new structure, the speciality chemicals business, which includes rubber chemicals such as styrene butadiene latices and emulsion polymers, will include three globally-managed business groups that represent high-growth market opportunities for the company. These are oilfields solutions, coating specialities and speciality ingredients.
Speciality ingredients will focus on new growth options for existing and adjacent global markets for material such as moulded rubber components, fabric reinforcement for tires and other rubber goods, as well as polymers used in durable and considerable nonwovens, Omnova said in a 20 June news release.
