    ERJ staff report (SMR)

London – UTECH North America will be held on 4 and 5 June 2014, at the Charlotte Convention Center, North Carolina, said the organiser Crain Communications in a press release.

Crain Communications, which publishes European Rubber Journal as well as magazines on polyurethane and other plastics, said the event will be independent of US trade associations. It is designed to connect suppliers and buyers from across the polyurethane industry. Crain added that the new event will fit its existing portfolio of exhibitions and conferences including UTECH Europe, UTECH Asia and PU China

Sue Rothwell, business development director at Crain Communications, said the company is responding to industry demand and intends to “bring its successful formula to North America.”

Rothwell added: “We have already had very strong interest from key players in the global and US polyurethanes market[s] wanting to take a booth at the exhibition, and from technology and innovation leaders wishing [to] present paper[s] at the conference.”
