ContiTech inaugurates Serbian plant

Hanover – ContiTech AG has formally opened a €10m production plant for hose lines in northern Serbia.
The plant has been supplying powertrain hoses to European auto industry customers since October 2012. Employing around 150, the head count is expected to climb to 250 by year's end.
Production rate is 1.8m units in total of around eighty different parts.
There is scope for expansion at the plant’s location in the bonded zone in the Mali Bajmok industrial park. The production hall currently measures 7 200 square metres.
