Tom Gravalos appointed CEO of Pirelli Mexico

Rome, Georgia – Tom Gravalos has taken over as CEO of Pirelli Mexico with immediate effect. Gravalos will be responsible for the operations of Pirelli’s newest plant in Silao, Mexico as well as commercial activities in the country. He continues to report directly to chairman and CEO of Pirelli Tire North America, Paolo Ferrari.
"With over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, Tom [Gravalos] boasts an impressive track record that will help in the development and growth of Pirelli in Mexico,” said Ferrari. “His role will be to consolidate Pirelli’s business strategy and strengthen the network of distributors, while maintaining original equipment relationships and business in the NAFTA region.”
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Gravalos graduated witih an MBA from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, USA. He started work with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio in 1975. Gravolos joined Pirelli in 2007 where he was the vice president of marketing and original equipment for Pirelli Tire North America.
