Study says pigment demand will increase

New York – Worldwide demand for pigments should increase at a 4.5 percent clip to $14.7 billion by 2018, Rubber & Plastics News reports a study from Transparency Market Research as saying.
Speciality pigments are the fastest-growing segment of the business, which overall will reach 4.4 billion tons in volume by 2018, the report said. Speciality pigment demand will rise at a 5.4-percent annual rate.
Pigments are used extensively in the paint and coatings markets, and also find application in the rubber industry.
