Illegal British tire waste operator fined

London - A Wiltshire, UK man has been ordered to pay more than £4,700 (€5,800) for illegally operating a tire waste site, reports Marino Donati of Materials Recycling World.
Wayne Clark illegally deposited tyres at an industrial park in Faringdon Business Park near Great Coxwell, Oxfordshire between October 2011 and January 2012.
Clark was fined £2,700 (€3,333), ordered to pay £1,998 (€2,467) in costs and a £15 (€18.5) victim surcharge at Oxford Magistrates' Court. He was served with a notice to remove 2,000 illegally deposited tyres after admitting operating at the site without a valid Environmental Permit.
