Austrian group maintains full-year earnings forecast amid “increased uncertainties”
Vienna – Semperit AG Holding expects it first quarter earnings (EBITDA) to come in higher than the same quarter of the previous year, due mainly to the low comparison base.
Earnings for the three months to end of March are expected to come in at €26 million, up from €11 million reported the year before, but slightly lower than €27 million reported in the previous quarter.
The gains, Semperit explained, is because the prior-year quarter was “extraordinarily impacted” by effects due to a challenging market environment and project delays.
The guidance for the full year 2026, said the Austrian elastomer group, remains the same at €95 million.
Semperit went on to add that current developments and increased uncertainties related to geopolitical events could lead to suppress demand, particularly in the second half of the year.
Therefore, it said, potential shortages in the availability of raw materials are not reflected in the current guidance.
The results for the first quarter of 2026 will be published on May 13, 2026.
