Lehigh forms distribution deal in Latin America
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Atlanta, Georgia - Lehigh Technologies Inc., is expanding its micronised rubber powder business in Latin America through a distribution partnership with speciality chemicals supplier Andes Chemical Corp.
The deal will increase Lehigh's geographical reach and boost its ability to meet growing demand for its products, Lehigh CEO Alan Barton said.
"Geographic expansion is a key component of our growth strategy," Barton said, 11 Dec. "Andes' reputation in the chemical industry, along with its technical and solutions-oriented approach, supports our technology strategy and facilitates our expansion into new geographies."
Lehigh transforms end-of-life tire and post-industrial rubber into new materials that are incorporated into high-performance tires, consumer and industrial plastics goods, asphalt, coatings and construction materials.
