Spanish motoring club warns over part-worn tyres

Madrid - Spain's motoring club Real Automóvil Club de España (RACE) has warned against the increasing use of part-worn tyres on Spain's roads. The group said imports of part-wors has increased by 58 percent in 4 years. Internet sales of used tyres are now five times greater than four years ago.
RACE says the number of stores selling used tyres have increased to 92,100 today, from 16,400 in 2008. Now, said RACE, over 90,000 cars on Spain's roads are using these tyres which may have suffered internal damage.
