CRIA issues analysis of rubber activities in first eight months

Beijing - China's Rubber Industry Association (CRIA) has issued its monthly report on the status of the industry covering the first eight months of 2012.
The report shows overall growth of some 3 percent year-on-year.
In the tyre industry, sales revenues increased by 3 percent; production of radial tyres increased by nearly 4 percent. The value of exports rose by 35 percent year on year, while volumes grew by 5 percent.
Other segments to be studied include cycle tyres; hose tapes; general rubber goods; latex; rubber boots (Wellingtons and galoshes); carbon black; waste rubber rubber moulds and rubber chemicals. In addition the report looks at the situation in carcass materials, such as steelcord and fabric reinforcement.
There is also a brief analysis of the import and export statistics of compound. The report concludes with an analysis of the industry at large.
