ITEC: PanAridus offers guayule rubber samples
ERJ staff report (R&PN)
Cleveland, Ohio -- Guayule rubber producer PanAridus L.L.C. is offering samples of tyre-grade guayule rubber for prospective buyers to evaluate, according to Michael Fraley, CEO of PanAridus.
“I'm not going to stand up here and tell you what it's like,†Fraley said at the International Tire Exhibition and Conference in Cleveland. “You can quantify it and tell me.â€
Rubber from guayule-a desert shrub native to Mexico and the southwestern U.S.-can vary greatly in quality depending on the germplasm and the processing technique, Fraley said. “But I guarantee our samples will meet or exceed the TSR 10 standard,†he said.
or the past four years, PanAridus has worked to improve both the genetics and the agronomy of guayule to maximise yield and make guayule rubber commercially viable in the commodity market, Fraley said.
