Mitsui resorcinol plant still suspended
ERJ staff report (LMH)
Tokyo -- Mitsui Chemicals has said four of its plants at the Iwakuni-Ohtake works in Japan continue to be suspended following the 22 April explosion and fire at the resorcinol plant there.
The resorcinol plant that was the site of the accident, and two other plants, are still not timetabled to return to operation, although Mitsui noted that its meta-para-cresol plant is “tentatively†expected to come onstream at the end of September.
