Debica, Poland - In the six months to 30 June 2012, TC Debica reported sales 9 percent ahead of the same period a year earlier. The company, which is majority-owned by Goodyear Dunlop, said revenues in the second quarter were 22 percent below the year-ago figure. Profits for the six months fell.
Sales to Goodyear in the six months increased by 9.7 percent and represents around 88 percent of total sales.
In the first half of 2012 TC Debica achieved sales of EUR 1 158.2 million zl, (euro 283 million). Gross profit for the first half of 2012 amounted to 94.7 million zl, ie 12.5 per cent less than in the first half of 2011. Operating profit (EBIT) in the first half of 2012 amounted to 42.4 million, which is lower by 9.2 million zl, ie by 17.8 percent.
In the first half, the company invested around zl 31 million (euro 7.5 million) in capital projects.
