Israeli artist depicts tyre fires
ERJ staff report (DS)
Milan - ERJ missed this one, but a 2010 exhibition in Milan saw a series of striking sculptures by Israeli artist Gal Weinstein. The sculptures depict blazing tyres and are made from wax, wool, polyester wool, Styrofoam and graphite.
The tyres are moulded from wax, the construction material consists of polystyrene foam and the surface of the smoke clouds consists of artificial pillow filling, complemented by multi-coloured graphite dust.
