Frank Gupta 1963 - 2012
ERJ staff report (DS)
Ratingen, Germany - It is with sadness that we have to report on the death of Frank Ananda Gupta. After a short fight against cancer, Frank died peacefully, at home with family at his side.
After a short illness, Frank Gupta passed away on
11 August 2012 in Ratingen, Germany. The long-time editor of
the polyurethane industry magazines PU Magazin, PU Magazine
International, and PU Magazine for China, died at the age of 48
years from cancer.
Together with his father, Dr. Heinz Gupta, he founded the
company Dr. Gupta Verlag in Ratingen in 1994. Frank started out as editor and as technical director
of the traditional rubber magazine GAK Gummi
Fasern Kunststoffe.
Frank cut a striking figure in the industry, at 1m96 tall and wearing a characteristic pale suit, he was hard to overlook. In the end, as a trained chemist, he was aware that we all re-join the carbon cycle and that “life is always fatal!†His final regret was that at 48, he was too old to die young.
We pass on our condolences to his family.
