London - Rubber prices around the world were marginally weaker overnight. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed at yen 230 ($2.94) on Tuesday 31 July. Shorter-dated prices closed marginally higher at yen 213 on Tuesday afternoon.
In Singapore, the January TSR20 contract on SGX was trading down 1 at $2.80; February prices were $2.79; August prices were also lower, trading around $2.77 in evening trading on Monday while September prices were trading around $2.80.
In India, NMCE said August prices closed down 2 at Rs 179 ($3.21). September prices also closed down at just under Rs 177.
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for August closed down slightly at Yuan 22.7 ($3.56) per kilo on Tuesday. September prices closed slightly lower at yuan 22.7.
