Chennai, India - Indian tyre maker MRF reported substantially higher sales and profits in the three months to 30 June 2012, compared with the same period a year ago.
Net sales increased to Rs 30,083 million (euro 442 million) from Rs 25,731 a year earlier.
Pre-tax profit for the quarter jumped to Rs 2097 million from Rs 440 mllion a year earlier
Net profit for the period also increased to Rs 1446 million from Rs 319 million
