Technip awarded halobutyl contract for Sabic, Exxon project

Paris - Technip of Paris, France, has been awarded a contract for the engineering, procurement and construction of Al-Jubail Petrochemical Co.'s halobutyl facility, in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
The project management, engineering and construction company's operating centre in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, will execute the contract.
The facility is part of a Saudi elastomers programme undertaken by Al-Jubail, a joint venture between Sabic and Exxon Chemical Arabia, and will produce 110 000 tonnes per year of rubber using ExxonMobil licensed technology.
