ERJ staff report (LMH)
Essen, Germany -- GiTi Tire held its dealer conference discussing future growth plans for its full portfolio of products, immediately before this year's Reifen trade fair, held June in Essen, Germany.
Richard Lyons, Managing director Europe, said at the conference that GiTi's European operation will continue to grow profitability in 2012 and 2013 by gaining volume share in mature markets and achieving breakthroughs in emerging countries.
Lyons stated that these goals would be achieved in unprecedented economic times by the continued introduction of high quality products with premium performance, a first-class level of service and an improved value-proposition.
The GiTi Group, which has a portfolio of products including GT Radial, Primewell, Runway and Dextero, saw worldwide revenue grow to in excess of $4 billion in 2011.
Peter Foulkes, marketing director Europe - Commercial Tires, also outlined a series of new products including the first retread tyre, the GT Radial GT Ree Tread, plus the advanced testing and evaluation programme, which currently has over 1000 R&D tyres on field test across Europe.
In all 120 people attended the conference including representatives from all 27 European countries plus GiTi teams from China, Indonesia and Singapore.
“This is the largest, most comprehensive dealer conference ever held by GiTi Tire, and the response from our customers has been wholly positive. By communicating in a transparent manner we build close partnerships that allows us to quickly react to changing market conditions throughout Europe,†Lyons said after the event.
