Infinity brand launches new tyre range-made by Linglong
ERJ staff report (DS)
Essen, Germany - Infinity Tyres has presented two new tyre ranges at the Essen show: the high performance Ecomax and the mid performance Ecosis. The tyres were designed and developed over the last year and a half by Infinity Tyres and are fully compliant with Europe's REACH legislation as well as the forthcoming EU tyre labelling laws.
As their name implies, both models benefit from having been designed with the environment in mind and their green credentials stem from their Eco-Friendly Fuel Efficient (EFFE) manufacturing process down as well as their the Advanced Comfort Control Construction (ACCC) development techniques, which are applied to the tyre moulds.
Infinity Tyres is the private tyre brand of the Al Dobowi Group, and the tyres are produced in China by the Shandong Ling Long Tyre Company, the country's third largest tyre producer, with annual sales of US $1.7 billion in 2011.
Infinity said Ecomax is the ultimate summer tyre designed for high performance vehicles. Infinity said it provides a winning combination of enhanced driving, precise cornering and offers excellent grip in both wet and dry conditions. Its enhanced silica tread compound gives the range exceptional wet driving performance.
The company said the Ecosis tyre is being marketed as the ideal summer tyre, deigned for all road and weather conditions. It combines precise driving performance, passenger comfort and superior wet weather handling. Furthermore, as its name implies, it has exceptional 'Eco' credentials which are fully supported by its enhanced silica tread compounds.
Infinity said, “Since 2005, we have developed two generations of fuel-efficient tyres for cars. For example the rolling resistance of passenger car and light truck tyres has been reduced by 46%, saving the equivalent of 0.5 litres of fuel per 100 km and avoiding the release of 13g/km of carbon.â€
