Taipei, Taiwan- Nankang Rubber Tire Corp. Ltd. is updating its logo and rolling out a new brand promise: â€œFree Your Way.â€ In the image above, the top image is the new logo, compared with the older one (below).
The new logo uses an updated italic typeface but retains the familiar red and black colors and striped winding effect in the stylized â€œN.â€
The new logo and slogan coincide with Nankang's 50th anniversary. Nankang is launching the changes at the Reifen 2012 trade show in Essen, Germany.
Nankang said the color red represents passion and vitality, while the black is meant to represent reliability, trustworthiness and professionalism.
Nankang explains its â€œFree Your Wayâ€ slogan as an attempt to convey to its customers Nankang is a way toward a â€œsmooth rideâ€ and â€œcarefree access.â€
With estimated 2011 sales of $580 million, Nankang is ranked among the top 45 tyre makers worldwide.
