Scrap tyre conference set for October

Washington, DC -- The Rubber Manufacturers Association, Scrap Tire Research and Educational Foundation and Alabama Department of Environmental Management are sponsoring the fifth annual “Scrap-to-Profit†conference in October.
The event-which will take place 9-11 Oct at the Renaissance Hotel in Montgomery, Alabama will feature an expanded program, with two full days of presentations and discussions dedicated to ground rubber, expanding markets and global issues impacting the ground rubber market. A half-day will be spent focusing on new developments in rubber modified asphalt.
Topics being discussed at the conference will include: national market challenges; projections of raw materials for the tyre industry; the impact of scrap tyres; introducing and selling products; compounding with ground rubber to produce new products; innovation; becoming a “green†company; ground rubber quality; and several others.
