Lindenhayn to head Orion Carbon's rubber unit

Kingwood, Texas - Christian Lindenhayn is moving from Lanxess to join carbon black producer Orion Carbon as Senior Vice President of the Rubber Business Line effective July 1, 2012.
He will lead the marketing, sales and applied technology functions for the tyre and mechanical rubber goods industries worldwide, and will be based at Orion's Americas' headquarters in Kingwood, Texas.
Lindenhayn, who holds dual German/Brazilian citizenship, joined Bayer Brazil in 1988, and continued with Lanxess in 2004 when it was established as a separate entity from Bayer. He held various marketing positions of increasing responsibility within Lanxess. Most recently, Lindenhayn has been head of global marketing for the butyl rubber business of Lanxess.
Orion Engineered Carbons makes carbon blacks focusing on collaborative partnerships with customers in rubber and pigment applications, with 15 production sites and five technical centers across the globe. It is the new name of the business previously owned by Degussa / Evonik.
