Teijin to build R&D centre in China for polyester

Nantong, China - Teijin Limited plans to establish Teijin Product Development China Co., Ltd. this August to conduct fibre and textile product research and development in Nantong, Jiangsu Province beginning in April 2013.

Teijin said the unit will initially focus on developing polyester fibres for clothing and similar applications, but Teijin said automotive applications will follow later.

Teijin Product Development China will be established on the premises of Nantong Teijin Co., Ltd., a Teijin group company engaged in manufacturing, dying, processing and selling polyester textiles.
