Apollo expects decision on East Europe plant soon
Mumbai, India -- Apollo Tyres said it expects a decision soon on its proposed euro 200 million car tyre plant to be built in Europe. The company issued a statement saying that the company is considering locations in Poland and Hungary and is actively engaged in negotiations with relevant officials in both countries.
Neeraj Kanwar said, "We are very keen to make an early decision, to enable
the authorities to complete the formalities. I am hoping that with assistance
from the respective government officials, the on-ground team will be able
to arrive at a clear decision quickly, not just in the choice of country,
but also the exact location of our greenfield facility."
He added that each country has its unique set of positives making a final choice more difficult.
