Michelin, Hankook, Pirelli top Russian tyre test
ERJ staff report (DS)
Moscow - Russian magazine Auto Review says Michelin's Energy Saver, Hankook's Optimo K415 and Pirelli's Cinturato P1 are the best tyres for Russian roads in size 185/60 R15.
The magazine tested 10 different tyre models for the three tyre label values of wet grip, rolling resistance and noise as well as the more familiar properties of handling, aquaplaning and lap time. In addition, however, structural strength and impact strength were tested. A Russian tyre, the Kama Euro from Nizhnekamskshina came top in that test, even if the Kama performed less well in the more familiar tests.
