China developing radial tyre specification
ERJ staff report (DS)
Beijing - China's Rubber Industry Association, in conjunction with its members is developing standards for radial tyre technology.
The first draft standard was distributed to member companies for the first time on 10 April, according to China Rubber. The standard is self-regulated, and is designed to reduce the possibility of further scandals in the industry, similar to the Kumho Tyre issue over the use of recycled materials in tyres, which developed in 2011.
