GITI Tire exec to be Tire Society keynoter at ITEC

Akron, Ohio -- Dr. Enki Tan, executive chairman of GITI Tire Co. Ltd., will deliver the keynote address at the Tire Society's 2012 conference on tyre science and technology, held in conjunction with the International Tire Exhibition and Conference (ITEC) .
The keynote is slated for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio. The 2012 gathering is the Tire Society's 31st annual meeting.
GITI is a Singapore-registered Chinese tyre manufacturer with a wide range of tyres sold in more than 100 countries around the world. It is considered the 15 th largest tyre maker worldwide, with 2010 sales of more than $2.2 billion.
Dr. Tan also is a director of P.T. Gajah Tunggal Tbk., the largest Indonesian tyre manufacturer and an associate company of GITI Tire. He is the vice chairman of Gul Technologies Ltd., a printed circuit board manufacturer, and the president director of Bukit Baiduri Energi, an Indonesian thermal coal mining company.

The two Crain Communications Inc. publications are the organisers of ITEC.
The keynote address is open to all ITEC attendees.
