Bridgestone to make urethane products in Kaiping

Tokyo-- Bridgestone Corp. has announced plans for a new company to make, process, and sell foamed rubber, urethane, and precision electronic components in Kaiping, Guangdong Province, China. The increased capacity is in response to the growing demand for these products in the China market. Production at the new facility is expected to begin in the second half of 2013.
The investment is around $20 million and the new unit expects to employ around 400 when it reaches full capacity at the end of 2013.
