Tomaki City, Japan - Tokai Rubber Industries has established its first data centre. The unit is expected to be operational from May 2012 and is located iat Tokai's group headquarters in Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture in Japan.
The company said the unit is expected to form the hub of an upgraded IT system to support global expansion of the company.
The building cost around yen 1200 million (euro10.8 million) and is constructed using earthquake bearings over four floors: three are underground while one is at ground floor level. Total floor area is around 2300 m2.
